Generations Church hosted a special service featuring Pastor Bert Pretorius. Pastor Bert and his wife Charné Pretorius are the senior pastors of 3C, a church with over 12,000 members in South Africa.
Their love for God and His people are evidenced in the many welfare and social development projects of the Church, with the Compassion for Children project feeding 10,000 underprivileged children on a daily basis.
Bert and Charné are blessed, with sons, Pearson, Damian and Tristan, and their daughter Caitlyn.

We are now running routes to Welton and Somerton for cell leaders who have already used every resource to get people from there to church. Here are some of the details -
Children 5 and under must be accompanied by their parent.
Children 6-10 must be accompanied by an older sibling 11 and up.
Routes are Saturday only until we get more drivers.
If you would like to volunteer you must have a license and be 21 or older and have the approval of your twelve leader.

Starting this Wednesday we will have corporate prayer from 5am to 6 am in the morning. There will be leaders from Pastors Rich and Melissa’s G12 who will be leading the prayer and inspiring us to cry out to God for a fresh move of his presence and a harvest of souls. This will be a fervent time of passionate prayer with a background of worship declaring our complete dependence on God and our desire to be used my him.
Matthew 18:18-20 (New King James Version)
18 “Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. 19 “Again I say[a] to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. 20 For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.”
It’s easy to see from this verse the power of praying together and agreeing together. This is what we will be doing this Wednesday morning.
The sanctuary will be open the rest of the day [6a.m.-4:30p.m.] for individual prayer.
We will be using this schedule every Wednesday until further notice.
This message conveys the heart of God toward His people. Pastor Melissa teaches us that through “constant care” we can help those that have made a commitment to Christ. Jesus came that we might bear fruit and fruit that remains.
Pastor Rich is back in town and wants to meet with the leaders of the church this Sunday the 11th! It will be a great meeting and will be held in place of School of Leaders from 2pm till 4pm here at the church. Those who are attending the current classes of SOL 1-3 will come to this meeting in place of their regular classes. It is mandatory for all cell leaders and will include great ministry by our pastors and also put in place practical strategies to implement in our ministry. You don’t want to miss it. How are you? You are such a great team of leaders and your love for people is evident from the way you spend your life for souls – keep it up!
At the beginning of the year Pastor Rich taught us on prayer and declared that our church would be known as a church that prays. He established Wednesday from 5 am – 7 am and 11:00 am – 1:00 pm to be a time where our church and our city could come together and pray. He taught us the power of corporate prayer and then invited us to pray every Wednesday until Jesus comes back.
In 2 Kings 19 it reports that Hezekiah, a godly leader, wasted millions of dollars and a lot of momentum because he tried to overcome obstacles on his own. When he finally prayed, God removed the obstacles and overcame the armies of the enemy in one day.
How much time, energy and momentum are we wasting by self-reliance? We need to pray!
This week – challenge yourself and your ministry to a 100 percent participation in the Wednesday prayer. Husbands and wives can alternate times to provide care for the children. Obstacles can be overcome and our church will declare with one voice our dependence on God.
